Huntly and District Pipe Band is a recreational band based in the market town of Huntly, Scotland.
Formed in 1948 by Gordon Highlanders returning home from service in WWII, the band is a big part of our local community and we are proud to be celebrating our 70th Anniversary.
Our aim is to promote and encourage the advancement of Pipe Band Music in our area. We have a tuition programme in place for pipers and drummers, which is committed to continual learning.
The Band attends many local Games in the summer months as well as private engagements.

Huntly owes its name and existence to the Gordon family. In 1319 Robert the Bruce granted the lands of Strathbogie to Adam de Gordon originally of Berwickshire. The family base at Strathbogie castle was renamed Huntly castle in 1506.
The current Huntly Pipe Band has two uniforms; a number one ceremonial dress used for special occasions and certain Highland Games that require the full ceremonial dress to be worn by our members.
